What is Goose Squad ATX?
Goose Squad ATX is the volunteer program of Roland's Silly Goose Crew, an Austin-based 501c3 nonprofit fighting for safer, more transparent dog care in Texas.
RSGC is entirely volunteer-run by our founders, Katelyn and Michael Rohde. Everything we've done so far, from publishing evaluation guides distributed across Austin to providing testimony to the Texas legislature, has been built by two people who refused to accept that nothing could change after their dog Roland was killed at an Austin daycare in 2022.
The Goose Squad is how we grow. Not by getting huge, but by getting the right people in the right roles.
How It Works
Project Based
Time-Bound Work
A defined task with a clear start and end. You sign up, do the work, and you're done.
Examples: Translating a guide into Spanish, designing a flyer, reviewing content for accuracy

Always-On Roles
A recurring role with a lighter, flexible commitment. You help as your schedule allows.

Translate our 4 published evaluation guides (Daycare, Boarding, Trainer, Sitter) and our upcoming 5 new guides into Spanish so more Austin families can access these critical resources.
